Azerbaijan, Baku, July 17 / Trend G. Veliyev /

A meeting with UNESCO representatives was held at the Institute of Cybernetics. A forecast monitoring system was discussed during the meeting, Director of the Institute, Telman Aliyev, told Trend .

UNESCO's attention to the scientific design made possible its delivery on a global level, he said.

In his report, Aliyev spoke about the spheres in which this system is used today and named several examples. Guests got familiarized with the monitoring system project as it is used in medical and industrial facilities. The system has been tested in medicine, allowing the hidden stages of cardiac diseases to be revealed.

In his presentation, Aliyev spoke about the technical monitoring project in construction. Use of the monitoring system in this sphere allows the study of defects in hidden areas (gas leaks, fuses, etc.) and determines their causes.

Control systems (sensors) are installed in buildings, rapidly delivering information via the local network to a central monitoring system. Afterwards, the constructional state is analyzed. This scientific development by the institute gives complex analyses of the constructional state of several houses and industrial facilities.

"There are seismically active zones and zones with increased levels of subsoil water that negatively impact the construction of industrial facilities and housing in Baku. If the constructional states of several buildings change at the same time, it is testified by anomalies and seismic activity, especially by possible landslides," Aliyev said.

The system is capable of giving information on emergency conditions beforehand.

The Institute of Cybernetics is considering the introduction of a monitoring system at a regional level. Aliyev said that the scientific project by the Institute was approved by the Ministry of Extraordinary Situations, the Communication and IT Ministry and the Ministry of Economic Development.

The organizations mentioned stated that the system monitoring the city is effective.
