The Uzbek state internet provider Uzbektelecom JSC is planning to gradually lower price of internet access and increase bandwidth of the internet channel until the end of 2018, the press service of the company stated, citing the company's CEO Farhod Roziyev.

Roziyev made the statement during the informal meeting with market participants in the GroundZero co-working center.

The company is planning to restructure and create a separate department, whose specialists will be competent in resolving issues related to cooperation with partners in the shortest time possible.

Uzbektelecom will offer operators and providers a franchising partnership model for development of broadband internet access. On top of that, existing tariffs will be revised and a single regulation system on leasing the company's infrastructure will be developed. The policy of leasing broadband internet access ports will be completely revised.

It was earlier reported that bandwidth of the external internet channel of Uzbekistan reached 140.034 Gbps, which is 1.5 times more than the figures in early 2018 (94.034 Gbps).

Roziyev earlier said that Uzbekistan will increase the capacity of its external internet channel to 1,200 Gbps by the end of 2018.
