By Huseyn Valiyev - Trend:

The High Tech Park of Azerbaijan’s National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has provided drones to the High Tech Research Center with the purpose of testing anti-radar material, the Center told Trend Aug. 21.

The drones were studied for the application of an anti-radar mixture on them.

“It was established that for quality tests of anti-radar material, aircraft must meet a number of requirements,” the Center said. “For example, some parts of the drone's shell were made of metal, and this may adversely affect the test results. So, it was decided to send the devices for further development.”

The anti-radar coating is developed using carbon nanotubes, which may be applied as a special mixture to the surface of a protected object making it invisible for most radar systems. The mixture can be used both for anti-radar protection of unmanned aerial vehicles and other military equipment.

Earlier, the Center conducted its own tests of anti-radar material, and the test results were satisfactory.
