Within the Microsoft Build-2021global technology conference, the corporation presented new solutions for developers, as well as, together with partners, announced a sustainable development initiative, Microsoft Azerbaijan told Trend.
The corporation announced the first Microsoft product based on GPT-3. Moreover, Azure Applied AI services, integration of Azure Security Center and GitHub were launched.
The opportunity to launch Azure services based on Kubernetes anywhere by using Azure Arc, new opportunities for developers in Microsoft Teams, Visual Studio extension for the Power Platform and support for Linux graphical user interface applications on the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) has appeared.
"The announcement of the first product is one of the most powerful natural language models in the world - GPT-3 from OpenAI, which will be integrated into the Microsoft Power Apps low-code development platform,” the message said.
“Thanks to artificial intelligence, users will now be able to create applications without deep knowledge of code or formulas by using interactive commands,” the message said. “GPT-3 is used in the Microsoft Azure cloud while the Azure Machine Learning service was used for retraining. The integration will be one of the first applications of the model in solving the applied business tasks."
Moreover, the new category of services Azure Applied AI will allow developers to greatly accelerate the creation of AI (artificial intelligence) solutions for common business scenarios, in particular, such as document processing, customer service, and information retrieval from the files.
The integration of Azure Security Center and GitHub will allow tracking container scan results obtained through GitHub Actions. This allows SecOps (Security Operations) teams to respond and notify about the problems faster, enabling more productive collaboration between them and the developers.
By launching Azure services based on Kubernetes anywhere through Azure Arc, developers have an opportunity to launch various Azure Application Services (Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, Azure Event Grid) anywhere including multi-vendor clouds such as Amazon and Google, local servers and edge computing devices.
The innovations in Microsoft Teams will enable developers to implement even more cases of using Teams.
"For example, this includes the process of delivering a speech by several speakers at the same time, automation of various functions during the meetings by using the API, creation of own backgrounds for Together mode, as well as the access to audio and video streams in real-time for transcription, translation, note-taking, and others," the message says.
Visual Studio for Power Platform will enable developers to use familiar Visual Code tools in the Power Platform and will open up new opportunities for collaboration between developers and employees from the business units while the WSL project enables users to launch their favorite Linux tools, utilities, and applications.
"Now it also includes support for GUI applications,” Microsoft said. “They work out of the box, allowing to test, develop and launch full Linux GUI applications on a Windows device without setting up a traditional virtual machine."
