Azerbaijan has improved its position in a new Global Innovation Index 2021 rating of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Trend reports citing the WIPO.
According to the report, Azerbaijan has improved its position by 2 steps compared to the 2020 rating and thereby ranking 80th among 132 states.
The Global Innovation Index 2021 includes such parameters as human capital and research, infrastructure, market and business development, knowledge and technology, creativity. According to these indicators, Azerbaijan in 2020 ranked 82nd in this rating.
The first positions in the rating were taken by Switzerland, Sweden, and the US, and such countries as Guinea, Yemen, and Angola closed it.
