Kazakhstan’s largest vehicles manufacturer – Saryarkaautoprom - is planning to increase vehicles manufacturing to 51,400 vehicles in 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
Overall vehicles manufacturing in Kazakhstan amounted to 50,447 vehicles worth 359.5 billion tenge ($837.1 million) in 2019, which is 62.5 percent more than in 2018.
The half of the vehicles manufactured accounted for Saryarkaautoprom.
“Last year, Saryarkaautoprom has doubled vehicles manufacturing to 25,802. This year, the company is planning to increase manufacturing to 51,400,” the report said.
In turn, Kazakhstan’s Asia Auto cars assembling plant has manufactured 20,000 vehicles in 2019. This year the plant is planning to manufacture 44,000 vehicles.
The overall agricultural vehicles output amounted to 41.2 billion tenge in 2019 ($95.9 million). The volume of manufacturing increased by 44 percent compared to 2018.
The number of tractors manufactured in 2019 was 1,200 vehicles. Agromashholding KZ has manufactured 130 Lovol tractors and over 355 Essil combine-harvesters. The venture has manufactured 62 tractors and over 20 combine-harvesters in 1Q2020.
Additionally, a cluster of railway engineering is actively developing at the moment, work is being carried out at the plants to modernize and expand the product line.
In particular, 91 passenger trains were produced by Tulpar-Talgo LLP in 2019. In turn, Lokomotiv Kurastyru Zauyty JSC manufactured 11 trunk diesel locomotives in 2019.
“Overall, total automotive industry output is to be increased to 100,000 units this year, 10,000-15,000 of which will be exported to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus and other countries,” the ministry said.
