A number of facilities and vehicles, including port, road and railways facilities were put into operation in Iran on Feb. 7, 2022, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
According to the report, 30 new port facilities were put into operation in the Iranian ports of Imam Khomeini, Bushehr, Genaveh, Chabahar, Shahid Rajaee and Bandar Anzali. A total of 6.6 trillion rials (about $157 million) was spent on these facilities.
In addition, 388 new facilities and stations in connection with roads were put into operation in the country. Thus, 1,168 km of roads were asphalted, 3 traffic police stations and 19 recreation facilities were built. In this regard, 19.3 trillion rials (about $460 million) were spent.
At the same time, a number of railway vehicles were repaired in the country, as well as, certain railway lines and railway stations were renewed. A total of 26.7 trillion rials (about $636 million) was spent in this regard.
In connection with the development of Iran's road transport infrastructure, 15 new facilities have been put into operation. A total of 11.6 trillion rials (about $277 million) was spent on these facilities.
“Eight facilities have been launched at Iran's Bandar Abbas, Zahedan, Saravan and Khorramabad airports. In this regard, 3 trillion rials (about $71.7 million) was spent,” the report said.
