ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 9. The digital record of transport and logistics facilities for the International North-South Transport Corridor will include data on the Turkmenbashi International Seaport's infrastructure, Trend reports.

According to an official source, the decision to develop the register was made at the CIS Transport Business Dialogue's second meeting in late January of this year.

The infrastructure register will be made available to the public on the website of the Commonwealth Member States' Coordinating Transport Meeting.

The information in the register will allow for more effective creation of logistics routes and supply chains along the North-South Transport Corridor, in which Turkmenistan also plays an important part.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is actively working in the sector of international transportation to increase its position in the global transport system.

The country is investing heavily in the construction of transportation infrastructure, with a focus on modernizing ports, roads, and logistical hubs.
