BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 1. Malaysia is interested in developing cooperation with the Caspian and Black Sea ports as important segments of the Middle Corridor, seeing in them opportunities to increase trade, Malaysian Senate Chairman Datuk Mutang Tagal said, Trend reports.
He made the remark during the meeting with the management of the Baku International Sea Trade Port (BISTP).
"We want to assess the potential of BISTP as a strategic hub of the Middle Corridor and establish bilateral and multilateral cooperation," Mutang Tagal said.
The sides emphasized the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor for global interconnectivity.
"Business opportunities for joint investments between Azerbaijan and Malaysia and the exchange of technological experience in the work of ports were discussed," the information noted.
