Kazakhstan’s gold, currency reserves decrease

Kazakhstan's gold and currency reserves, including gross reserves of the National Bank and the National Fund's assets, decreased by $561 billion in May 2016, said the Kazakh National Bank June 9.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's gold and currency reserves increased to almost $94.286 billion since the beginning of 2016.

The National Fund's assets increased by 3.15 percent - to almost $65.51 billion since the beginning of 2016.

Gross international reserves of the National Bank increased by 3.24 percent - to almost $28.78 billion in the reporting period.

Net international reserves of the National Bank increased by 3.53 percent - to $27.93 billion since the beginning of 2016.

The assets in currency decreased by 3.2 percent - to almost $19.65 billion.

The National Bank's assets in gold increased by 20.5 percent - to $9.13 billion since the beginning of 2016.
