The ground troops of Kazakhstan are holding command and staff exercises in the east, west and south of the country, the country’s Defense Ministry said Jan. 18.
As much as 1,500 soldiers and more than 200 units of military equipment take part in the exercises.
The exercises are aimed to strengthen the capabilities of the military forces, bring them to the highest level of combat readiness, as well as prepare for handling possible crisis.
