Trend:

Kazakhstan will host the WTO Ministerial Conference in June 2020, the Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the WTO Zhanar Aitzhanova said, Kazinform reported Sept. 28.

"This will be the 12th WTO Ministerial Conference. The conference is a logical continuation of the open trade investment policy pursued by the head of state since the moment of acquisition of independence," Aitzhanova said, answering reporters' questions on the sidelines of a high-level forum on trade and investment promotion in Astana.

The representative of Kazakhstan in the WTO called the event historical.

The main theme of the conference will be the reforms in international trade and the rules that are currently in force and do not suit major players.
