Kazakstan records increase in per capita income for 2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 9. Per capita incomes of the population of Kazakhstan reached 245,500 Kazakh tenge ($536) in the third quarter of 2022, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.

This constitutes 16.5 percent of year-on-year growth.

The largest incomes were recorded in Astana, which amounted to 339,000 Kazakh tenge ($742), a 15.7 percent increase. Karaganda region came as a close second with an income of 332,300 per capita ($727).

On the other end of the spectrum, the residents of the Turkestan region enjoyed an income of 156,400 Kazakh tenge ($342), which is a 15.6 year-on-year increase. However, the figure is one-third less compared to the country average.

The population of Kazakhstan received around 76.3 percent of its income from employment. On average, this figure amounts to 180,400 Kazakh tenge, which is a 21.9 percent year-on-year increase.
