BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Over the past five years, Kazakhstan's Turkestan region has witnessed a remarkable three-fold increase in the volume of investments pouring into its economy, reaching an impressive sum of 339 billion tenge ($753.1 million), Akim (Governor) of the region Darhan Satybaldy said at a briefing, Trend reports.

"With a total of 133 successful investment projects, amounting to a staggering 422 billion tenge ($937.5 million), the region has not only attracted financial capital but has also generated employment opportunities for 9,347 individuals. This influx of investments has not only stimulated economic growth but has also played a vital role in improving the overall standard of living in the region," he said.

According to Satybaldy, the region has secured the top spot in terms of growth rate, surpassing other regions across the country. To sustain this positive momentum, a comprehensive plan has been devised, consisting of a pool of 368 carefully curated investment projects, with a combined value of a remarkable 2.8 trillion tenge ($6.2 billion).

Looking ahead to the year 2023, an ambitious agenda awaits Turkestan, the governor of the region noted, with the planned implementation of 189 projects that are set to further bolster the region's economic landscape. Already, 48 projects have been initiated, reflecting the region's proactive approach towards realizing its full economic potential.

The surge in investment and the proactive efforts in project implementation signify the region's commitment to fostering an environment conducive to economic growth and prosperity. It is a testament to the region's unwavering dedication to attracting both domestic and foreign investments, stimulating various sectors and industries, and ultimately improving the quality of life for its residents.
