ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 9. About 58.9 billion tenge (about $131 million) was sent abroad from Kazakhstan through international money transfer systems (IMTS) in February 2024, which is 12.3 percent more than in January 2024, Trend reports.
The data from the Central Bank of Kazakhstan shows that, compared to January 2024, the number of translations has also increased. Thus, the number of transfers in February increased by 15 percent and amounted to 184,800 transactions.

Meanwhile, the volume of money transfers through international money transfer systems (IMTS) in Kazakhstan amounted to 187,600 transactions worth 60.3 billion tenge (about $134.9 million) in February 2024.
Compared to January 2024, there is an increase in the number of transfers by 15.3 percent and in the volume of transactions by 11.6 percent.
The share of money transfers carried out in February 2024 on the territory of Kazakhstan is 1.5 percent of the total number and 2.3 percent of the total amount of money transfers via IMTS.
The share of money transfers sent abroad is 98.5 percent and 97.7 percent, respectively.
