BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. Visa sees potential in cross-border requests within the Visa Direct Request to Pay system in the future, Senior Director, Head of Visa Direct in Ukraine, Georgia, CIS, and Southeast Europe Sanjar Suleymanov said, Trend reports.

"Many merchants now offer their goods on specialized platforms that allow them to sell products all over the world. As a result, we see possibilities for introducing a service like invoicing to consumers in additional countries. Our clients' suggestions and wants will inform the development of the technology. We also provide our platform to states as well as partners in the financial sector," he said.

According to Suleymanov, Visa's solutions help the growth of a cashless economy.

"We stimulate the local market by providing innovation and demonstrating the market's readiness for new offerings," Suleymanov added.

RBK Bank launched Request to Pay technology jointly with Visa in Kazakhstan in February 2023. This was the first launch of technology based on the Visa Direct platform, not only in Kazakhstan but also around the world.
