ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 24. The Italian Eni's production of oil and natural gas in Kazakhstan amounted to 165 kboe/d (kilo barrel of oil equivalent per day) from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
According to Eni production results, in the same period in 2023, this figure was 166 kboe/d.
In addition, oil and gas production in Kazakhstan in the fourth quarter of 2023 amounted to 178 kboe/d, which is 18 percent more than the same period in 2022 (150 kboe/d).
Meanwhile, Eni's hydrocarbon production in 1Q2024 maintained an average of 1.741 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), marking a notable 5-percent increase year-on-year (1.661 boe/d in 1Q2023).
Furthermore, Kazakhstan produced 90 million tons of oil in 2023, which is 6.9 percent higher than in 2022.
At the same time, oil exports also increased and amounted to 70.5 million tons, which is 9.6 percent more than the previous year.
Moreover, Kazakhstan plans to increase oil production in 2024 to 90.3 million tons.
