BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov congratulated Kyrgyz people on the Constitution Day of the country on May 5, Trend reports citing the press service of Kyrgyz President.
“Throughout its centuries-old history, the Kyrgyz people have always stood up for truth, stood for justice, lived with the idea of a sovereign Kyrgyzstan, a strong prosperous state. The first Constitution of independent Kyrgyzstan was signed on May 5, 1993. The new Constitution, adopted by referendum (general popular vote) in April 2021, was also signed last year on May 5. Thus, the people of Kyrgyzstan have made a choice in favor of the stability of the political system. The main provisions of the current Constitution will reliably protect entrepreneurial activity, civil initiative and public life," said the president.
"This Constitution will not only lead to significant changes in public administration and the legislative system, but will also create legal basis for the rapid development of the country's economy, improve the living conditions of our citizens and strengthen statehood," he said.
"Today, we must realize that only we ourselves are responsible for our own destiny and the destiny of our Motherland. Only by uniting our efforts, we will be able to overcome all difficulties and continue to move forward. I wish you all good health, longevity, happiness and prosperity, peace and prosperity to Kyrgyzstan,” Japarov said.
