BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover increased from January through June 2022, Trend reports referring to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statistical data, the foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2022 increased by 25 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($4 billion) - up to $5 billion.
Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period imported goods worth $4 billion, which is an increase of 66.6 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year ($2.4 billion).
However, the value of Kyrgyzstan's exports decreased by 40.5 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($1.5 billion) - to $947.9 million.
Meanwhile, the foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan with the CIS countries in the reporting period amounted to $2.3 billion, which is an increase of 27.7 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($1.8 billion).
