BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. The value of Kyrgyzstan's tomato imports from Turkmenistan decreased over the year, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Committee, Turkmenistan from January through July 2022 exported tomatoes to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of $7.4 million, which is a decrease of 15.9 percent over the same period in 2021 ($8.8 million).
As reported, the volume of Turkmen exports of tomatoes to Kyrgyzstan in the first 7 months of this year amounted to 13,207 tons. In addition, Kyrgyzstan also imported 6,401 tons of tomatoes from Uzbekistan worth $2.8 million.
Meanwhile, the total exports of goods from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period amounted to $43 million, which is a threefold increase over the same period in 2021 ($14 million).
