BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 8. Somon Air - the national air carrier of Tajikistan has expanded its passenger fleet, Trend reports referring to the Tajik Media.
The new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which the Tajik air carrier has agreed to lease from the US-based Aviation Capital Group (ACG), was introduced yesterday.
"There are 189 seats in the economy class of the airplane. The aircraft is named after Tajik national hero Nusratullo Maksum," the Somon Air said.
On August 30, Somon Air received another Boeing 737-800 aircraft, named after Tajik national hero Mirzo Tursunzoda.
Thus, the airline has increased the fleet to 6 aircraft - 2 Boeing 737-900 and 4 Boeing 737-800 airplanes.
