BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 30. Industrial production in Tajikistan's Sughd region has increased over the year, Trend reports with reference to sughdnews.com.
The value of Sughd's industrial production from January through October 2022 amounted to 19.6 billion somoni ($1.9 billion), which is an increase of 3 billion somoni ($293.8 million) over the same period in 2021.
During the reporting period, 142 new enterprises were launched in the Sughd region, and 2,743 jobs were created.
As reported, the activity of new enterprises is aimed at the production of import-substituting products and providing the domestic market with local goods.
Meanwhile, a total of 789 industrial enterprises are currently operating across the Sughd region.
