BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. The value of industrial production in Tajikistan’s Bokhtar city, located in the south-west of the country in the Khatlon region, amounted to 340.3 million somoni ($32 million), Trend reports via Tajik media.
The share of industrial enterprises amounted to 59.3 percent or 201.9 million somoni ($19 million), of the total production, the share of private sector made up 40.7 percent or 138.4 million somoni ($13 million).
Total 56 enterprises and production plants of Bokhtar worked regularly and were able to increase production volumes in 2022.
It was noted, that the executive body of Bokhtar conducts all necessary means for development of production in the city.
A total number of 2,594 industrial enterprises were operating in the country in 2021, including 788 in the Sughd region, 710 in the Khatlon region, and 548 in the capital Dushanbe.
According to departments of the industrial sector of Tajikistan, the country manufactured industrial production for 43 billion somoni ($4.2 billion) last year.
The main industries of Tajikistan include mining, chemical, cotton, metallurgical, and machine-building. The largest industrial centers of Tajikistan are located in Dushanbe and Khujand.
