BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. Tajikistan has resumed flights between its capital, Dushanbe, and the Gorno-Badakhshan region, Trend reports with reference to Russian media.
As ordered by the senior government of Tajikistan, the flights between Dushanbe and the center of the Gorno-Badakhshan region, Khorog city, were resumed. The presentation flight was carried out by the L 410 NG aircraft.
Earlier this month, the delegation of the national air carrier of Tajikistan, Somon Air, paid a visit to the LET Aircraft Industries plant in Czech to get acquainted with the production process of the L410 NG aircraft, as well as to discuss the issues of training the technical and flight personnel of the airline.
The air communication between Dushanbe and Khorog was stopped in October 2019. Before that, the flights to the city were carried out by An-28.
The air route Dushanbe-Khorog is considered to be the most difficult in the world due to the climate conditions and the absence of an area for the emergency landing.
