President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov kicked off his state visit to China, according to the Turkmen government.
The key objective of the visit, which will last until Nov. 25, is to sum up the next stage of the efficient intergovernmental cooperation, discuss whole complex of bilateral relations in political, economic, trade, science, technology and other fields, as well as determine priority directions of development of a comprehensive new round of the Turkmen-Chinese partnership.

The Turkmen president will have a in Beijing with Chairman of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao and sign an inter-state documents.
During the visit, Berdimuhamedov will visit Shenzhen city, the special economic zone and the neighboring special administrative region of China in Hong Kong. A joint business forum is timed to the visit.

According to state news service Turkmen Dovlet Xabarlari, the forthcoming visit of Turkmenistan's national leader to China won't only be a new important step in expanding the mutually beneficial economic partnership, but also serve as a spiritual rapprochement of the two peoples, the establishment and promotion of humanist contacts and popularization of the Turkmen of culture in the world."
China became the largest trade partner of Turkmenistan in 2011. Over the first 9 months of 2011 foreign trade turnover between Turkmenistan and China has amounted to $3 billion 564.94 million.
Thirty-seven enterprises with Chinese capital operate in Turkmenistan, while 66 investment projects worth $4.438 billion and 2.328 billion Chinese yuan have been registered.
Turkmenistan and China cooperate in many fields, including fuel and energy, trade, investment, transportation, communication, chemical industry, agriculture, medicine and high technology.
