BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Turkmenistan has sold a large batch of various types of fabrics to businessmen from the UAE and China through its commodity exchange, Trend reports.
Turkmenistan has sold 6.5 million square meters of various types of fabrics to entrepreneurs from the UAE and China. The total amount of the transaction was $1.9 million.
At the same time, Turkmenistan also sold 142.8 tons of various types of cotton yarn to entrepreneurs from Türkiye and the UAE for a total of $265,400 (from $1,700 to $1,870 per ton).
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
