ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 28. Farmers of the Lebap region (located in the east of Turkmenistan) harvested about 264,900 tons of vegetables since the beginning of this year, Trend reports.
During the same period, farmers in the region achieved impressive harvest results, harvesting 120,400 tons of potatoes, 65,800 tons of fruits (including grapes).
As a result, a significant increase in the production of vegetables, potatoes, fruits and cereals was achieved in the Lebap region compared to the same period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, the development of Turkmenistan's agricultural sector is an important strategic factor for the country's economic growth.
