BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 12. Turkmenistan has exported about 2,000 tons of fresh tomatoes since the beginning of 2024 to the market in the Moscow region of the Russian Federation, Trend reports.
According to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor), the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for Moscow city, Moscow, and Tula regions conducted quarantine phytosanitary control on 116 vehicles that supplied this volume of tomatoes.
The results of a study conducted by specialists at the All-Russian Plant Quarantine Center have established that the products comply with quarantine phytosanitary requirements.
Furthermore, batches of fresh tomatoes that have successfully passed the quarantine phytosanitary control procedure have been released for free sale.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan has recently made a significant step in the development of the production and export of greenhouse tomatoes.
The export of these products becomes an important source of income for the country, ensuring its participation in the world market and contributing to a variety of economic opportunities.
