The Uzbek government attracted 198 grants totaling $231.1 million in 2015, according to the data published on the website of the country's finance ministry.
The largest amount of funds of gratuitous technical assistance in 2015 was attracted to health care and education spheres. At the same time, projects in the health care sphere received 49 grants totaling $108.7 million, education sphere - 53 grants worth $57.5 million.
As many as 22 grants worth $21.6 million were attracted for the development of economy, financial markets and entrepreneurship, 25 grants totaling $12.2 million - for social protection, development of culture and sports, four grants, totaling $2.2 million and $13.3 million each, were attracted for development of information and communication technologies and technical equipment of the law enforcement and customs authorities, respectively.
Nine grants totaling $4.8 million were attracted to projects in ecology sphere, eight grants totaling $3.5 million - for the material and technical equipment, as well as the institutional development of state administration bodies, the same amount of grants totaling $2.7 million - for projects in the sphere of agriculture and water resources, 16 grants worth $ 4.6 million - on other directions.
