French Cabinet Oxiane is interested in establishing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the application of new technologies in agriculture, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek embassy in France.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, together with North-South, the Agency for Economic and Cultural Development, organized a round table in the format of video conferencing, dedicated to international initiatives, socio-economic reforms, as well as investment potential of Uzbekistan.
It is reported that the Uzbek side expressed interest in the further development of cooperation with France in all areas of mutual interest. During the event, a presentation was made of the investment and economic potential of Uzbekistan.
President of the North-South Economic and Cultural Development Agency Gilbert Salinas said that a visit of a delegation of business circles of the South Pyrenees region to Uzbekistan in September this year is being prepared. It is planned to hold a business seminar and a cooperation exchange, as well as separate meetings in various ministries and departments to discuss the prospects for trade and economic cooperation.
Also, the representative of Cabinet Oxiane Christophe Durand expressed interest in establishing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the application of new technologies in agriculture. The company is studying the efficiency of farming systems by monitoring the fields and conducting timely analyses of the crops grown using agricultural drones.
In addition, the representative of Soverdi Company Silvian Sonssebe expressed interest in implementing joint projects in the field of irrigation. It was noted that the main goal of the company is to introduce intensive irrigation methods to increase yields and profitability of agricultural products, optimize the use of water resources and automate the management of irrigation systems.
At the same time, the President of France Exportea Benoit Rigal noted the readiness to establish cooperation with Uzbek companies in the field of agriculture, renewable energy sources, including solar energy, as well as new technologies in the field of healthcare.
Also, General Director of F.L.S. Frederic Vincent expressed interest in cooperation with Uzbek enterprises in the field of the production of building materials. It was noted that the company is engaged in the production of polymer composite materials based on carbon fiber.
As a result of the round table, an agreement was reached to organize the next event in the city of Toulouse in June this year.
North-South for Economic and Cultural Development Agency was founded on June 2, 2004, in Toulouse with the purpose to promote and facilitate interregional and international cooperation in the field of economy, culture and education by creating favorable conditions for trade and economic exchanges and partnerships between educational institutions of the Southern Pyrenees region and the countries of the Mediterranean basin, the European Union and Central Asia.
