BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Uzbekistan exported 1.2 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $760.2 million from January through September 2022,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
The largest share in the export of fruit and vegetable products is occupied by grapes - 21.2 percent, peach – 9 percent, mung bean - 6.1 percent, tomatoes - 5.9 percent, melons and watermelons - 4.7 percent, cherries - 4.4 percent, cabbage - 4.3 percent, onion - 3.8 percent.
From January through September 2022, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports amounted to 5.4 percent.
The main importers of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan were Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Turkiye, Belarus, Iran, Azerbaijan.
