TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 30. On September 30, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Akram Aliyev and the Deputy Minister of Trade of Türkiye Mustafa Tuzju, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.
According to the information, during the discussions the parties reviewed the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
It is reported that in order to increase the volume of mutual trade to 5 billion dollars, the possibilities of expanding the range of goods, lifting restrictions on products in accordance with the agreement "On preferential trade" signed between the two countries, as well as simplifying trade procedures and developing industrial cooperation were discussed.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to create a joint working group of experts from the two countries to develop specific proposals for expanding mutual trade and developing e-commerce between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
