The construction of the Middle East's largest flower and plant terminal in Iran's northern city of Tonekabon shows 60 percent progress, said Mazandaran Province's governor general on Wednesday.
According to IRIB, Seyyed Mohammad Karimi said that 350 billion rials ($35.1 million) has been invested in the project so far, adding that the project will create 400 direct and 10 indirect job opportunities.
The official said that the 56 hectare terminal includes a permanent flower and plant exhibition, a bourse facility, a bank, a customs office, and a special quarantine.
Mazandaran Province ranks first in the country in terms of flowers and plants production.
