In a show of support for domestic production, Iranian MPs agreed to a single urgency bill mandating the purchase of Iranian made goods before imports.
Signed by 73 members of the Majlis (parliament), the legislation says if Iranian-made goods aren't available, then they can be bought from Iranian-foreign companies and as a last resort, from foreign-Iranian businesses.
Iran's disagreement with the West over its nuclear programme's scope and transparency has brought increasingly tougher sanctions putting more and more pressure over the last several weeks on Iran's economy and its people.
