New Iranian historical computer game to hit market

Iran's National Foundation for Computer Games (NFCG) is planning to release its recent game adapted from the historical event of 'Tangestan' in upcoming summer, Press TV reported.

The game titled Cry of Freedom, Tangestan depicts the bravery of Iranian men in south Iran in the battle with English colonials.

The story dates back to the years between 1907 and 1909 when England occupied the southern parts of the country.

Cry of Freedom screens a resistance movement organized by Raeis Ali and his brave fellowships who arose from the different villages of Boushehr, mainly from the southern Iranian town of Tangestan, to expel out those British forces from the homeland.

Produced by Pardazesh-Afzar Pezhvak Company and Iran's National Foundation for Computer Games, the game had been earlier unveiled on Abu Musa Island in April, 2012.

Iran's computer game productions have been warmly received by many European, American and East Asian countries so far.

The games have been presented in several international expos such as the renowned European game industry fair, Gamescom, where they won great acclaim by the visitors and experts.

Mir Mahna, Hidden Treasure, Mountaineer, Black Gold, The Story of the Island, The Heart of Simorgh and Dream Farm are some of the renowned Iranian computer game productions.
