BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Iranian banks provided loans worth 826 trillion rials (about $19.7 billion) in the service sector during the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through April 20, 2024), the statistics of Iran's Central Bank said, Trend reports.
According to the statistics, loans worth about 664 trillion rials (about $15.8 billion) were granted in the first month as working capital in Iran's service sector.
The statistics indicate that in the first month, Iranian banks issued loans worth 128 trillion rials (about $3.05 billion) to establish businesses and facilities in the service sector.
In addition, the statistics add that 24.6 trillion rials (about $586 million) of development loans and 5.4 trillion rials (about $129 million) of self-employment loans were issued in the service sector.
The information notes that in the mentioned month, Iranian banks issued consumer loans worth 3.07 trillion rials (about $73.2 million) for the service sector and 999 billion rials (about $23.8 million) for renovation works.
To note, in the first month of the current year, Iranian banks disbursed loans worth 2.05 quadrillion rials (about $48.9 billion).
