Iran ready to expand ties with Romania: ambassador to Romania

(IRNA) - Iran's Ambassador to Romania Ali-Akbar Farazi Tuesday in Bucharest voiced Iran's readiness to strengthen ties with Romania in affairs pertaining to their two capitals.

His remarks were made during a meeting with Bucharest Mayor Adriean Videanu, whom he briefed on the achievements of Tehran municipality in the past few years, reports Trend.

For his part, Videanu said he was ready to exchange views and experiences with officials of Tehran municipality, and called for further expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Latest developments in Tehran-Bucharest relations, holding of Iran-Romania Joint Commission sessions, exchange of expert delegations and expansion of cultural and tourist relations were other issues discussed in the meeting.

The two officials in their meeting also discussed trash recycling, exchange of experiences in the area of urban transportation, traffic management and implementation of environmental projects.
