Iranian and Turkish officials discuss border security

(РЎihan) - The meeting for border security between Iran and Turkey started in the eastern Turkish province of Van.

Colonel Ali Zakir, military head of Iranian border town of Khoy, arrived in Van along with a military delegation of 10 members to attend the meeting.

The delegation was welcomed on the Kapikoy border gate by Saray district governor before Van Governor Mehmet Niyazi Tanilir received the visiting delegation at his office, reports Trend.

Van Governor Tanilir is presiding over the meeting on behalf of the Turkish delegation.

After the meetings, the Iranian delegation will spend the night in Van and leave for Iran on Tuesday.
