TEHRAN, Iran, July 27. Iran's National Development Fund is increasing the funding of the Chabahar – Zahedan Railway by allocating €100 million to the project in the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022), said Transport and Urban Development Deputy Minister Abbas Khatibi, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"In addition to the €300 million credit assigned by the National Development Fund, another €300 million is needed for the completion of the railway," he said, referring to the latest progress in the project.
The mentioned railway project would complete the eastern section of the International North-South Transportation Corridor and would create access to Iran's Chabahar Port.
