BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. More than 750,000 barrels of crude oil were produced in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2023-March 19, 2024) at Iran's Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company using MOT and Mos equipment, the executive director of Iran's Gachsaran oil and gas production company, Gholam Reza Kamali said, Trend reports.
According to Kamali, crude oil production with MOT and MOS equipment is of great importance. Thus, flaring and environmental pollution are prevented when crude oil is extracted with this equipment.
Kamali added that the company has repaired 97 wells, 79 pieces of equipment, and installations in the last Iranian year.
The official noted that the company has 23 oil wells at its disposal. Crude oil is currently being produced from 16 of its fields. 857 oil wells are operated with 105 separators.
The company can produce 652,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 561,000 barrels of crude oil daily.
At present, 950 million cubic feet (about 26.9 million cubic meters) of gas are produced from the company's fields. Of the mentioned volume, 800 million cubic feet (about 22.6 million cubic meters) are supplied to the plant of Bid-Boland Gas Refining Company, while 150 million cubic feet (about 4.24 million cubic meters) of gas are pumped into oil wells.
To note, the US imposed new sanctions on Iran in November 2018 in connection with Iran's nuclear program. Over the past period, more than 700 banks, companies, and individuals exporting Iranian oil have fallen under the sanctions. The sanctions led to the freezing of Iran's assets in foreign countries.
