Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze met with Chairman of NATO Military Committee Admiral Giampaolo di Paola.
The sides discussed the participation of Georgian military in international peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan, the Foreign Ministry told Trend.
The Admiral thanked the Georgian side for the important contribution to peacekeeping operations and highlighted the high professionalism of the Georgian military. Chairman of NATO Military Committee, however, expressed regret at the death of Georgian military in Afghanistan.
The sides also discussed the dynamics of relations between Georgia and NATO and the preparatory process for the Lisbon summit.
