The head of Georgian National Tourism Administration Giorgi Sigua set off to Zimbabwe and Zambia, where the UN World Tourism Organisation's General Assembly 20th session will take place on August 24-29.

The head of Georgian National Tourism Administration Giorgi Sigua set off to Zimbabwe and Zambia, where the UN World Tourism Organisation's General Assembly 20th session will take place on August 24-29. Sigua is to meet with Secretary General of the organization Taleb Rifai and others, the Administration told to Trend on Friday.

He will participate in the "round tables of ministers" and general debates planned within the event.

The Assembly is held biennially and is a large-scale event, where senior representatives of organization's member-countries participate. This year the session is attended by 550 delegates from 108 countries.

Election of the Secretary General will be held during the session.

Georgia is nominated for the second term to the post of Vice-Chairman of European Regional Commission for 2014-15.
