The pre-election delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will visit Georgia on Monday with a three-day visit.

The pre-election delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will visit Georgia on Monday with a three-day visit.

PACE delegation includes deputies, Meritxell Mateu Pi, Andres Herkel, John Tomlinson, Christopher Chop, Vasily Likhachev and Boris Silevich, Georgian Parliament told Trend.

The delegation will meet with the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia Caterina Bolognese. Meetings with the representatives of civil society, media outlets, diplomatic corps and the Head of the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission Matteo Mecacci will also be held.

On Tuesday, the parliamentary delegation of the Council of Europe will meet with the chairman of the Central Election Commission of Georgia Tamar Zhvania, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and Speaker of Parliament David Usupashvili.

Meetings with presidential candidates David Bakradze, Nino Burjanadze, Giorgi Margvelashvili, Shalva Natelashvili and Giorgi Targamadze are scheduled for September 25.

On the same day, the delegation will hold a meeting at the Interior Ministry. Meetings with Secretary of Georgia's National Security Council Giga Bokeria and Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani are also planned.

After the official part of the visit, the PACE delegation will hold a press conference for Georgian journalist.
