Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze met with the political directors of the European Union during the 69th regular session of the UN General Assembly that kicked off in New York on Sept.24.
The working meeting was also attended by Georgia's First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani and representatives of the EU diplomatic missions.
During the meeting, Panjikidze stressed the importance of such meetings and the coordinated cooperation with the EU countries after the signing of the association agreement, Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend on Sept.26.
She briefed the political directors of EU about the process of implementation of the agreement and touched upon the issue related to the visa liberalization with EU and the relevant steps taken by Georgia.
The meeting also focused on the ratification of the association agreement by the EU countries.
