Money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan from January through October 2021 amounted to $16.2 million, which is an increase of 23.6 percent, compared to $13.1 million over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
The amount transferred from Georgia to Azerbaijan in October 2021 totaled $1.8 million, which is an increase of 5.8 percent, compared to $1.7 million in September 2021, and also an increase of 20 percent, compared to $1.5 million in October 2020.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranks 4 among Georgia’s main money outflow destination countries from January through October 2021.
Total money transfers from Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to $251.7 million, which is an increase of 25.6 percent, compared to $200.3 million over the same period of 2020.
Meanwhile, the volume of money inflow to Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to $1.9 billion, compared to $1.8 billion over the same period of 2020.
