( dpa ) - Three Palestinian militants were killed and three wounded in two Israeli strikes on the eastern and northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical staff and witnesses said.
Witnesses said militants of al-Quds Brigades, Islamic Jihad (Holy War) movement's armed wing, were launching homemade rockets from northern Gaza Strip at Israel.
The Israeli artillery stationed near the border between northern Gaza Strip and Israel had fired back, and an artillery shell hit the group, killing three.
Mo'aweya Hassanein, chief of emergency and ambulance services in the Palestinian health ministry, confirmed the three deaths.
