( ForUm ) - President Viktor Yushchenko on Tuesday sent his greetings to participants of the 8th extraordinary convention of Ukrainian judges, President's press office informs.
" Ukraine's judicial system is facing lots of problems and lots of questions. Recent developments in Ukrainian politics have made them evident. I welcome the efforts and desire of the judges to frankly discuss these problems and find professional responses to the existing challenges," he said.
"It is incumbent on all branches of Government to introduce judicial reform," he said, adding that it was aimed atcreatingan independent judicial system, guaranteeing justice and promoting their high status.
Yushchenko said it was quite symbolic they were holding the convention on the eve of Constitution Day (June 28). "I hope you will find right and proper solutions for the development of the supreme law in the country's life."
