Number of registered Chinese companies up in Turkey

In January-July 2019, 55 companies with Chinese capital were registered in Turkey, which is 19 companies more compared to the same period last year, Trend reports referring to Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

The total capital of Chinese companies registered in Turkey in January-July 2019 amounted to 12.909 million Turkish liras, while in the same period of 2018, this figure amounted to 10.499 million Turkish liras.

Most of the Chinese companies were registered in Istanbul (45 companies) with a total capital of 9.718 million Turkish liras. During this period, four companies with Chinese capital were registered in Antalya province.

In January-July 2019, five mining, six industrial, 28 wholesale and retail, one logistics, three tourism companies and two real estate companies with Chinese capital were registered in Turkey. The other 10 companies are involved in other sectors of the economy.

According to TOBB, the total capital of 28 wholesale and retail companies registered during the reported period amounted to 2.716 million liras.
