Number of companies with Russian capital down in Turkey

From January through September 2019, 83 companies with Russian capital were registered in Turkey, which is five companies less compared to the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

The total capital of Russian companies registered in Turkey in the first nine months of 2019 amounted to over 19.6 million Turkish liras ($3.4 million), while in the same period of 2018, this figure was almost 6.8 million Turkish liras ($1.17 million).

From January through September 2019, most of the Russian companies were registered in Istanbul (44), with a total capital of 19.4 million Turkish liras ($3.36 million).

During the reported period, 31 companies with Russian capital were registered in Antalya province.

In the reported nine-month period, four industrial, five construction, 43 wholesale and retail companies, nine tourism and one medical company with Russian capital were registered in Turkey.

The remaining 21 companies with Russian capital are involved in other sectors of economy.

The total capital of 43 companies in the wholesale and retail trade registered during the reported period amounted to 11.2 million liras ($1.9 million).
