Turkey discloses volume of cargo shipment via local ports from Israel in 7M2021

Over 9.9 million tons of goods have been transshipped through the Turkish ports from Israel in the first seven months of 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

According to the ministry, 795,041 tons of cargo from Israel were delivered to Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag, and more than 9 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

From January through July of this year, ships flying the flag of Israel have delivered 137,086 tons of cargo to Turkish ports.

The ministry also said that 617,754 tons of cargo from Israel have been transited through Turkish ports in the reporting period.

Over 219.5 million tons of goods have been transshipped through the Turkish ports from January through July 2021, 17.5 million tons of cargo were handled by ships flying the Turkish flag, and more than 201.9 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

More than 43.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in the first seven months of this year.

Furthermore, nearly 31.3 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in July 2021.

In the same month, around 2.2 million tons of cargo were transported to the domestic ports via ships flying the Turkish flag while via ships flying the flags of other countries – 29.1 million tons.

Meanwhile, over 6.6 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports.
